The Protimeter Surveymaster SM moisture meter combines
the conventional two-pin inspection method, with a non-invasive
radio frequency technique. This enables the user to assess
the moisture condition not only on the surface, but also
at depth quickly and non-destructively. The Search Mode
uses the same colour coded LED scale as the Measure mode,
identifying degrees of dampness below the surface. There
is also a user adjustable Audible Alarm that sounds to
indicate the varying levels in moisture. In this mode
the instrument employs radio frequency emissions (RFE)
to measure through surfaces.
